Epic Biosonics Inc. is a privately held company located in Victoria, BC, Canada, established to design, develop and manufacture components for implantable medical devices. Although the company initially focused on the cochlear implant market, it is now working with other leaders in the field of neurostimulation and neuromodulation devices to create state-of-the-art implantable electrode arrays and micro-cables for stimulating and recording applications.

In 1997, Epic Biosonics Inc. embarked on the creation of a batch process for fabricating high flexibility biocompatible microcircuits. The resulting EpicCircuit technology platform comprises ductile microconductor lines and electrodes embedded within a polymer substrate. Components made using the innovative EpicCircuit process are designed to be fully implantable for a lifetime of safe and effective use.

In addition to implantable medical devices, EpicCircuit technology may find application in a variety of other industries where flexible corrosion resistant microconductor systems are required.
